Topics 

• Discussing the current rental housing challenges due to expiring rental housing assistance programs, evictions and to provide updates in the upcoming laws for 2023.
• FHCRC will discuss best practices and strategies for housing providers to avoid housing discrimination based on source of income due to refusing programs such as Section 8 or other third-party assistance offered to renters. The ultimate goal for the Town Hall meetings is to provide an open a dialogue between housing professionals, service providers and the general public. In addition, FHCRC plans to provide education on identifying or prevent discriminatory housing practices so that all individuals are treated fairly and equally during the rental process.
